Bars and Restaurants: The Cross Keys is around 5 minutes from the free moorings which will take around 5 or 6 boats. The bar possesses a bowling green and is well frequented by locals.

Bars and Restaurants: Wayford Bridge Hotel has chargeable moorings close by. Free moorings are available the other side of Wayford Bridge - still only a short walk away. Boasts a Bistro and an A-La-Carte restaurant.

Shops: Fairview Garage Convenience Stores is located around 500 yards down the road. (Take the opposite direction to the Wayford Bridge Hotel)

Bars and Restaurants: The Swan Inn is located on Stalham high street which is around 10 minutes walk from the nearest free moorings at either the local staithe or in Richardsons boatyard. The Harnser can be found around 20 minutes away towards Sutton. Both establishments offer a varied food menu.

Shops: Tesco's supermarket is a short walk from the moorings and has a cash-point.. Various gift shops, hardware, a doctor and pharmacy are available on the high street.

Local attractions: The Museum of the Broads adjoins the free moorings.

Sutton Staithe

Bars and Restaurants: The Sutton Staithe Hotel is situated overlooking a dyke offering free moorings, which connects to Sutton Broad. It offers restaurant and bar menus and is very popular. Booking is advisable if you intend to eat.

Bars and Restaurants: The White Horse Inn is now the only eating establishment in Neatishead following the closure of the Old Saddlery Restaurant. It is a 5 minute walk from the free moorings.

Shops: A general store is a short walk from the free moorings.

Local Attractions: Barton Broad Boardwalk is a 30 minute walk from here. It offers panoramic views across Barton Broad. It has to be said though that the moorings at Gays Staithe - also free - offer a closer link.

How Hill

Local Attractions: How Hill House is located on the banks of the River Ant and has extensive free moorings. In the grounds are formal gardens and woodland trails and a recreation of an eel catchers dwelling from the 19th century. There is a visitors cafe within How Hill House.

Bars and Restaurants: The Dog public house is a short walk from the free moorings. It offers an extensive bar menu. The Wayfarers Restaurant is located close to the bridge.

Shops: A small general store is located close to the bridge, as is a local craft gift shop.
